Tour of the Church

A Tour of the Church & a Walk through the Mass

Whether you are new to Saint Brigid or always wanted to know more about our Parish, you will enjoy coming to our Tour of the Church!

The Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us “[C]hurches are not simply gathering places but signify and make visible the Church living in this place, the dwelling of God with men reconciled and united in Christ….In this “house of God” the truth and the harmony of the signs that make it up should show Christ to be present and active in this place.” (CCC 1180 & 1181) This simply means that the God of the universe has humbled himself to be made present among us and the Church is the place that shows us this.

This is why Catholic Churches are built in a certain way. There is meaning behind everything in a Catholic Church. That is what signs do. They point us to something else. A Church is designed to point us to God and this is most especially true in all that we do in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Join us as we explore the meaning behind everything you see around you in the Church and what we do in the Mass. It is a wonderful evening of food and fellowship, but more importantly an evening where you will grow deeper in love with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The evening includes dinner and babysitting. Please come and learn more about your Parish home.
