The Mustard Seed Ministry is a beautiful way to serve others while making life-long friendships with other St. Brigid Parishioners.

Approximately 15-20 Adult missionaries travel to Nicaragua each year in February to serve the special needs children and the staff of two Mustard Seed Communities orphanages in Managua and Diriamba, Nicaragua. Monthly informational meetings are scheduled for mission trip planning, orientation, and fundraising. Each year prior to the trip the Mustard Seed Ministry is responsible for Operation Orphan. This event provides parishioners with the opportunity to participate in the mission by choosing a tag for a needed item for the children of Nicaragua. These items are then packed and taken to Nicaragua by the missionaries.

Missionaries commit to a $100 non-refundable deposit. This deposit goes toward lodging, food, and transportation in country. Missionaries pay the price of their airfare to Nicaragua. They also commit to a predetermined amount of fundraising, and to enlist prayer partners to help them as they begin on this wonderful journey. An informational meeting will provide all the needed skills to successfully fundraise.
