2015 01-11 Invitation to Christ Renews His Parish

On January 18th and 19th, the women of Saint Brigid will be invited to a Christ Renews His Parish weekend with a corresponding invitation to the men of Saint Brigid on February 14th and 15th.  The weekend begins on Saturday morning and ends on Sunday afternoon.

The following comments are from five Saint Brigid parishioners who attended past CRHP weekends:

“After my CRHP weekend, my life has not been the same and I’m so thankful.  I’ve realized the importance of Christian Community and how much can be accomplished when we share our talents and resources with each other.  Thanks to the renewed closeness to God that I felt after the CRHP weekend, I have become a weekly adoration guardian, an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, a Confirmation small group leader, and a group bible studies leader.”
“CRHP has proven to be the biggest blessing in my life.  CRHP started me on an unlikely, but truly powerful spiritual journey.  Through the CRHP process, my life has improved, my marriage has improved, and I truly feel like a part of the parish.  CRHP introduced me to a group of men that I now recognize each week, and who are truly my friends.  In this way CRHP humanized our huge parish for me.”
“Christ Renews His Parish” means many different things to me, but the two words that come to mind are love and community.  There are so many doors that Christ has opened, so many special men and women that Christ has put in my life.  CRHP has taught me to let my faith be seen and watch God go to work.  I am so blessed!”
“The experience of my CRHP weekend is difficult to describe yet easy to sum up:  LOVE.  I felt the love of the Lord and experienced the genuine love the presenting team had for each other and for me.  There is no doubt that my time in CRHP has inspired me to live the gospel as best I can.  CRHP has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.”
“When I look back at my CRHP experience, I tend to think about what I walked away with.  I walked away with a new sense of community.  Those strangers that used to sit in front of me and behind me at Mass are now my friends, some of my best friends.  CRHP has made me a better husband, father, son, brother, friend, and even a better employee.  I am forever grateful for the experience.”

The Christ Renews His Parish weekend is an act of love given by fellow Saint Brigid parishioners to each other.  During your weekend, you will hear fellow parishioners share talks with you on Christian Renewal, Spirituality, Christian Community, Christian Awareness, The Scriptures, The Father’s Loving Care, New Life in Christ, Reconciliation, The Eucharist, and Discipleship.  You will participate in two very powerful Liturgies, sing, laugh, maybe cry a little, eat very well, make some new friends, and leave the weekend renewed and refreshed.  The Christ Renews His Parish experience can be a tremendous boost to an on-going love relationship with Christ.

The “CRHP” weekend is a gift from God that can be freely taken by anyone who simply answers yes to the invitation.  There is no pressure on anyone to share on the weekend unless they want to share.  Christ simply wants to spend some time with you in a deserted place where the distractions of the world are left behind for a while. I pray that many of you will consider this wonderful invitation for renewal.

God Bless You All,
